2008 Sponsors and Partners
It's fantastic when the product you are using to promote your sponsors is the same product you would be using if you chose it off the shelf yourself.
Not only are we proud to be affiliated with the following companies, but their support is what makes it possible for us to get out and share the sport that we love.
If you'd like to know more, please visit their websites, or simply ask one of our coaches. We'll be more than happy to tell you why we think they're the very best.
- Rocky Mountain Bicycles www.bikes.com: We’re thrilled to welcome Rocky Mountain Bicycles back for their second year as title sponsor. We’ll have a host of incredible demo bikes at our camps – the Slayer SXC, Slayer SS, ETSX, Element, and Flatline – from both their regular and Ladies Only lines. If you ever wanted to get on some of the best technology around, here is your chance.
- Sugoi www.sugoi.com: Our program would not be what it is if not for the support we’ve gotten year after year from Sugoi. Back for their seventh season, Sugoi continues to outfit our coaches in their performance apparel, and consistently creates the finest camp specific sublimated jerseys around.
- Fox Racing Shox www.foxracingshox.com: This company puts huge smiles on every one of our coaches faces, and spreads the benefits of award winning suspension through our demo fleet as well. Check out the Float, Talas, and Vanilla front forks, as well as the rear shox that have set the industry standard since 1989.
- Luna Bar www.lunabar.com: Luna Bar, the makers of the original women's energy bar, continues to fuel the Dirt Series in 2008. Not only do they make a delicious product, but they also commit a significant amount of energy and resources to supporting our favorite sport, from the grassroots community right through to the international pros. Check out their new Luna Sport products at our camps this year too.
- Dakine www.dakine.com: A longtime innovator in water and snow sports, Dakine has brought its leadership and style to the mountain bike world as well. We use their hydration packs on our rides, their gear bags and wheeled luggage to get from camp to camp, and a host of their accessories to stay hip and happy in between.
- Kicking Horse Coffee www.kickinghorsecoffee.com: We hooked up with BC's Kicking Horse when Elana, company founder and president, showed up at one of our camps. Since then thousands of mountain bikers have turned to her potions, including the entire Mike Wiegele's Heli Ski resort, which now serves it up as its coffee of choice. Try your own cup - tea too - at the camps this summer.
- Giro www.giro.com: People say that everyone's head fits a different manufacturer's helmet, but somehow all our coaches are happiest in Giro. We’ll be in the Xen, E2, Hex, and Remedy this season, and thank them a ton for their incredible and continual support.
- Crankbrothers www.crankbrothers.com: We were first blown away by how beautiful the crankbrothers pedals looked, but after getting them under our feet, we were fully sold on their performance as well. We’ll be using them, both clipless and flats, at the camps this season, as well as offering them to participants to demo. Keep your eyes peeled for their line of tools and state-of-the-art Joplin adjustable seat post too.
- Brave Soldier www.bravesoldier.com: The brainchild of a pair of adventure racing and mountain biking friends, Brave Soldier Athletic Skincare supplies us with sunscreen, lip balm, chamois cream, their legendary Antiseptic Healing Ointment, and a host of other first aid supplies we hope never to need to use.
- Maxxis www.maxxis.com: We figured that if Maxxis tires were good enough for Olympic and World Champions in every mountain bike discipline, then they should be our choice, too! Their line up includes everything from the lightest XC model to the beefiest freeride and DH options. Test them yourself at our camps this season.
- Adidas Eyewear www.adidas.com/eyewear: Not only does adidas pack heaps of features and technology into each of their products, but they also make their key models in small enough sizes to look great on female faces. And then there are all those awesome colour options ...
- Race Face www.raceface.com: Winner of countless product development awards, and the creator of the UFC and UXC contests, Race Face provides armor for participants to demo at all of our camps.
- Sleeman Breweries www.sleeman.com: Their deliveries to our host shops inspire our evening sessions at all our Canadian camps, as well as get our bikes premium attention from every mechanic around. We're happy to welcome Sleeman back for their fifth year running. Now we just need to convince them to distribute in the US too.
- Recycled Accessories www.recycledacc.com: Cindy and Brock, Dirt Series camp participants and definite cycling aficionados, have created a new line of bike related accessories. You can choose their gems from our prize tables this summer, or log on to their website and get yourself styled out right away.
- Barefoot Wine www.barefootwine.com: This California brand pairs itself with everything fun, from the PVA to the Surfrider Foundation, and now with our mountain bike camps too. Look forward to sampling their wine at our evening shop sessions all season long.
- Yakima www.yakima.com: We’re thrilled to welcome the industry leading sports rack manufacturer to our list of sponsors this year. Thanks to Yakima, our trailer will be more dialed than ever, our bike loading time will be reduced to minutes, and participants will be able to carpool with ease using the additional trunk racks they’re providing for demo.
- Kiju www.kiju.ca: If you’re looking for juice that is certified organic, delicious, healthy, and without added sugar, Kiju is it. And, if you’re coming to one of our Canadian camps this summer, you’ll be able to enjoy it with your lunch.
- IMBA www.imba.com: The International Mountain Bicycling Association has been doing great work on behalf of our sport for as long as we can remember. The organization helps promote our program, its staff often lend on-site support, and for 2008 they’ve invited us to run two camps preceding the World Mountain Bike Summit in Park City, UT.
- Whistler Bike Park www.whistlerbike.com: Anyone who has stood still long enough to listen knows how much we love the fact that the best bike park in the world is right here in our backyard. This year we’ve become one of their official instructional programs, have included lift tickets with every camp registration, and are looking forward to five amazing weekend camps up here at home. Come visit.
