Santa Cruz, CA
Santa Cruz is home to an ever-increasing number of mountain bike businesses, and it's easy to see why. The enthusiasm for riding is infectious, the shops are dialed, and the trails feature a fun variety of smooth singletrack, switchback corners, opportunities for small to medium air, and technical climbs and descents.
We start both of our days at Epicenter's Mission Street location, hold progressive morning skill development sessions at the fields at Delaveaga, and then head out to a great variety of local trails after lunch.
On Sunday afternoon, provided the temporary closure lifts, we'll add in a trip to the Soquel Demo Forest for those who are fairly advanced in both fitness and skill. This area features great steeps, berms, built features, and drops, but since each lap involves significant climbing and takes lots of time, it'll likely be limited to one or two groups.
We've been starting our season in California for a decade, and we couldn't feel luckier. This year's Santa Cruz camp is co-ed. If you're looking for a women's specific camp in a similar location and at the same time of year, consider coming to see us in Los Gatos, CA.
