Winter Park, Colorado
Saturday-Sunday, July 19-20, 2014
We've run camps in Winter Park for three years now, and every year we've had such a great time on the Trestle Bike Park trails that we've stayed an extra day to ride just for fun.
The downhill trails are ideal, with all kinds of options for all kinds of levels, from riders new to the bike park environment to seasoned veterans looking for smoother drops and fancier lines.
There are also cross-country trails at the resort, and additional ones just a short drive away. They're generally best suited for beginner and intermediate XC riders, although there are also a few features that could challenge those stronger that that.
We run our signature skill development sessions in the mornings, using the stunts and teaching aids we bring along, as well as the pump track at the base of the park. We then plan a full spectrum of rides for the afternoons so that each participant can choose just what she wants: two days riding downhill in the bike park, two days riding cross-country from the valley, or one day of each.
The camp includes one complimentary lift ticket per participant, and a discounted lift ticket for those who choose to ride the lifts both days. Winter Park also offers specially priced accommodations, detailed below. Just be sure to book early as many of the options are quick to sell out.
