Thanks in large part to groups like Mountain Trails Foundation and Basin Recreation, Park City has more riding opportunities than most other areas could imagine.

For the camp, we'll be running our morning skill sessions at a local park, and then heading out in a number of different directions for our afternoon rides.

Cross-country trails will include Spiro, Lost Prospector, Mid Mountain, and Round Valley. Freeride opportunities will involve the new trails at the Synderville Basin Recreation Area, and potentially the Trailside Skills Area as well.

Should it look like Deer Valley will be opening their park in time for the camp, we'll work on adding lift-assisted downhill riding into the agenda as well. Deer Valley's trails include everything from entry-level terrain to a NORBA level downhill racecourse. Riding there will involve an additional lift ticket fee, but will definitely be fun.

Either way, the Park City camp should be well suited to those interested in learning cross-country, all-mountain, or introductory freeride techniques. There is ample place to set up our stunts and teaching aids in the morning, and so many fun opportunities to spin our wheels and incorporate our new skills in the afternoons.

As an added bonus they have an indoor/outdoor pool as well as 2 hot tubs and a sauna.
