When we looked at our registration and waitlists numbers from 2011, we saw huge interest from the Alberta market, and in many cases much more than we could fit into the camps we already had on the schedule.

So, this past fall we sent out two different surveys asking the area's riders what they'd like us to add. Since overwhelming support came back for an Edmonton camp, 2012 will see us spend a weekend there.

Of course it helps that United Cycle is in town, and is both an amazing Trek dealer and proven fantastic camp host. Janet Liu, a longtime Dirt Series coach and camp manager, has recently moved there as well, and is already busy figuring out the best skills site location and riding areas too.

So, for this camp expect a wide variety of learning opportunities, and the convenience of it all being quite centrally located as well. There will be excellent terrain for those wanting to work on beginner, intermediate, and advanced cross-country skills, as well as for those interested in an intro to freeride techniques.
